Being a very imaginative person, it can be very frustrating to approach a creative mental block. Specifically in my career, I will create graphics that I want to be eye-catching, smart with the amount of typography included, and get the point across fast. All this must be done while also making sure that everything that is displayed is not too much to digest all at once.
In order to accomplish all these aspects, it helps to have a concept developed that has a shorter, but impactful “catch phrase” or title. I have used AI a few times to come up with these names or to find words that rhyme for a graphic I am making. I have also used it as a thesaurus. Most generations I get are cheesy, but after asking AI to refine certain things, some are very effective and match what I am looking for.
While it can be useful, I try to avoid AI and come up with most concepts or titles myself. I believe it is a helpful tool, but it also can make humans begin to be lazy. If we rely on it too much for ideas and creativity, it could reach the point where humans cannot be creative on their own.
